The Parish Council, together with a number of local partners, is currently engaged in two major campaigns; the first is to prevent the development of a sand and gravel quarry in the Trent Valley between the village and Nottingham. (See location map).   Nottinghamshire County Council propose including the area in the Mineral Policy for the county; the second is opposing the construction of 3000 dwellings in the parish.  Visit the Posts page for the latest information.
